Kelli Renfrow: Rough-cuts

Author Anne Lamott wrote a book called Bird by Bird, intended as a guide for writers. The anecdote that gives way to the title essentially suggests that you have to start somewhere and tackle one element of your written piece at a time until it's finished. I'm attempting to take the same approach with my writing career in general ... blog by blog perhaps? We'll see how it goes. Thanks for reading.

What you'll find here

The published and the unpublished. I'll post the essays that have appeared in The Dallas Morning News to date. Just a note: My column "Inside Out" debuts in Healthy Living on April 17, 2007. It will run every other week on Tuesdays.

I'll also post essays that, for one reason or another, do not fit the parameters of the column.

The basic idea is to open a discussion with whomever is reading. I welcome your stories, comments and feedback — it's truly the best part of the process.

If you like something you read here, I hope you'll share it with others. While I'm not sure where the journey will lead us, I thank you for coming along.
