Kelli Renfrow: Rough-cuts

Author Anne Lamott wrote a book called Bird by Bird, intended as a guide for writers. The anecdote that gives way to the title essentially suggests that you have to start somewhere and tackle one element of your written piece at a time until it's finished. I'm attempting to take the same approach with my writing career in general ... blog by blog perhaps? We'll see how it goes. Thanks for reading.

First things first

It would be very bad form not to thank all of the people who have supported me to this point — giving me the courage to take another step. Whether in school, copywriting or the type of writing I'm now attempting, I've had the benefit of the best teachers, friends and colleagues a person could have. And, family, too. Special thanks, also, to The Breakfast Club.

Each of you has inspired me, guided me and challenged me. I won't list names in deference to those who might not want to appear on a blog for various reasons, but I sincerely hope you know who you are. Couldn't do this without you.
